Shake Some Action

Flamin Groovies - Grease

21st Century Boy

Marc Bolan & T. Rex - The Final Cuts - Picture Disc
Final studio sessions of the late great Mr Feld.

Fragrance Love and Sorrow

One of the highlights for me this year, and at the top of my list:
Bobbie Gentry Live at the BBC.
Never before released in any format, an essential purchase for fans of the enigmatic Ms. Gentry.
What's more it features the cream of Brit session musicians of the time; Danny Thompson, Herbie Flowers, John Cameron, Harold McNair, Alan Parker, Tony Carr.
"Bobbie Gentry sings of the fragrance, love, sorrow and humour of the Delta country."

It Could Be You

First in the queue tomorrow gets this mystery LP put together by those nice folks at Warner Music.

All Tomorrow's Parties

Lou Reed - Animal Serenade
Live 2003 3xLP set.

Late Arrivals

Deliveries still coming in, just as I was trying to get the once a year vacuuming done.
As soon as these are processed I'll be able to put together the final list of what's available this year.

Rock and Roll

Led Zeppelin - 7" Yellow vinyl single.
Side A: Rock And Roll (Sunset Sound Mix) / Side B: Friends (Olympic Studios Mix).
Both tracks are previously unreleased.

Good Time Charlie

Had an interesting RSD related exchange with Danny Baker on twitter last night:

The fact remains that selling things like this once a year:
Means I can sell things like this the rest of the year:
I also know that most people in the queue on the day are going to keep and treasure the records they buy, even if there are a few chancers looking to flip stuff on eBay. It's also a fact that 90% of the records aren't going to increase in value anyway.

All I Want

Snatch - Snatch
Patti Palladin and Judy Nylon's only Long Player. A compilation of singles and demo tracks including their collaboration with Brian Eno "R.A.F.".Out of print since 1983.

International Reggae

2 excellent reggae releases:

Five Day Week Straw People
The End - Introspection / Retrospection (Bonus LP of outtakes) - Transparent vinyl.

Yeh Yeh

Another album that didn't make the final RSD list, but is available tomorrow:
Georgie Fame - Live in Europe 1967.
As luck would have it Mr. Fame is playing just around the corner on Saturday evening at the Kenton Theatre, so any Georgie fans in town...why don't you to buy a copy and ask him to sign it.

4 from the 1960s Part Three

Another 4 titles that didn't make the official RSD list this year, but will be available on the day:

The Pretty Things - Live in Europe 1967

Lulu - Heaven Earth and the Stars - Blue Vinyl LP plus numbered 7" of the Bowie produced single The Man Who Sold The World / Watch That Man.

OST Part 8

You can rely on Silva Screen to come up with some great soundtracks for RSD, but they have really excelled themselves with this years offerings:

Easily the pick of this years Warners Bowie RSD releases.

I was there Guv:
Here I am outside Earls Court.
(Eagle eyed NME aficionados may spot a Lone Groover T-Shirt.)

And here we are inside, me clutching my naughty Dollars in Drag LP, bought from an enterprising seller outside.

And here is my Isolar 2 programme.

David Robert Jones Part Three

They coulda been contenders...

12" from The Waterfront - Normandy ( On A Beach ) / When The Wind Blows.

Be Very Thankful...

4 no frills soul 12" singles:

Frills quite superfluous with something as sublime as that William de Vaughn track.

Glamtastic

Beautiful use of the gatefold sleeve for the pink vinyl version of Jobriath's debut album from 1973.
